Congratulations to the Armada Boys and Girls track teams for wrapping up their regular BWAC season last week. The girls and boys teams both defeated Almont, but lost to a tough Cros Lex team. The loss puts the girls at 4-3 for the season and the guys at 6-1 in the BWAC, which is the best boys finish since the creation of the BWAC, finishing as the runners up in the League. Congrats Boys!
On Friday, they ran tough at the Marysville Invite against 13 teams. Winning medals for the girls were Emma Coenen, Alaina Carroll, Julia Klinkman, Lauren Schramm, Abby Sand, Mekenna Mclean, Claudia Johns, Olivia Hauler and Marz Bell.
Taking home medals on the boys side was Vince Steinbrink, Corey Sutton, Robbie Nowik, Jackson Mahaffey, Nathan Nowik, Devon LaHaie, Brennen Steinbauer, Marcello Annoni, Noah Chambers, Trent Grabowski, Jack Albrecht, Connor Collins, Kenny Simmons, Brenden Maedel, Morgan Lipka, and Noah Verlinde.
Congratulations to the mile relay team of Annoni, Chambers, LaHaie and Grabowski for setting a new school record and to the 400 relay team of LaHaie, Grabowski, Sutton and Steinbrink for tying the school record.
Both teams race Regionals on Friday, wish them luck.
