The Armada Boys Basketball team defeated Almont on Monday 46-37 in the first round of district play. The Tigers overcame a 27-11 first half deficit through great defensive play, outscoring Almont 12-2 in the third quarter and holding Almont to just 12 points in the second half. Josh Bowman led the Tigers with 12 points, 10 in the second half. Eric Keding had 11 points, all in the 4th quarter. Connor Mackenzie also had 11, and Kaleb Sutton added his 7 points all in the second half. Alec Albrecht also added 5 points. Keegan Mahaffy and Justin Stirrett contributed big defensive shifts in the second half to swing the game. 

The Tigers want to add another thanks to the loud home crowd who created lots of energy to help spur us on our run. The Tigers return to play on Wednesday at 7:30pm against Yale n the second round of districts- we hope to see you there!
