NORTH BRANCH H.S.: 16
The JV Girls Basketball team traveled to North Branch on Tuesday evening and earned a 34-16 victory over the Broncos.
For the first time since the second week of the season the entire team was together and available to compete. They used their aggressive defense to open a 12-4 lead after the 1st quarter but the Broncos battled back to cut the Tigers lead to 16-12 at the half. The ladies turned up their defensive intensity and held the Broncos scoreless in the 3rd quarter while extending their lead to 29-12.
A balanced scoring attack was lead by Kyla Voss with 8 points, Meg Kubik added 7, and Hailey Schramm, Ella Sutton ( 2 three pointers) and Alayna Nowik chipped in 6 points a piece. The victory evens the JV team's record at 5-5. The ladies play at home this Friday evening against Richmond.
