ALGONAC HIGH SCHOOL: 14
The Girls JV Basketball team tipped off the 2020 portion of this year's schedule with a 25-14 victory over Algonac. The ladies got right back to work with their defensive pressure and had opened a 16-7 lead by the half. They continued to work hard through the second half protecting their home court and securing the victory only allowing Algonac to score 2 points in the 4th quarter.
The Tigers were led in scoring by Meg Kubik with 10 points while Brooklyn Pratt added 6 points. Defensively, Meg Kubik and Ella Sutton each had 5 steals while Alayna Nowik cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
The Tigers will be in action again on Tuesday, January 7th when they travel to Davison to take on the Cardinals.
