Coach Benschoter (Kownacki) comes in to lead the Tigers program in her inaugural season as the varsity head coach.

Coach Benschoter is a 2012 graduate of Armada High School and was part of a successful team that was able to win two district titles, two regional titles, and lead her team as a pitcher to the state final four at Bailey Park in 2012. Her career as a Tiger pitcher was recognized by being an Honorable Mention All State selection her sophomore year and a two time 1st Team All State selection her Junior and Senior years.

Coach Benschoter continued her softball success at Oakland University. As a Golden Grizzly, she was a four year starter earning All Horizon League First Team and Pitcher of the Year in 2015 that also led to winning the Horizon League Tournament in that same year. She also pitched in the NCAA Regional held at the University of Michigan.

Coach Benschoter comes from coaching at Almont, and the last two years at Schoolcraft College as well as high level travel teams.

Personal: Coach Benschoter resides in Imlay City with her husband Zach and Golden Retriever, Sadie.
