Congratulations to the boys and girls cross country teams for their strong performances yesterday at the first BWAC Jam- where they compete against every team in the League. The boys finished 3rd with strong performances from Brennen Steinbauer, Noah Verlinde, Austin Cornish, Brandon Malburg, Alex Leone, Brenden Maedel and several others. Great work!
On the girls side, Alaina Carroll soundly defeated every girl in the League, while the team was in a nail-biter with Imlay City and Cross-Lex. But the girls team prevailed winning the first League Meet by only 2 points, setting them up for a potential League Championship, as they sit undefeated in League standings. Huge performances from Tori Mabbit, Marz Bell, Julia Klinkman and Reily Chodnicki helped, with Leah Couch as a crucial tie-breaker. Emily Hayward, Kaley Tolin, Emma Zagaiski and Alyssa Naniewicz also ran tough races. Congrats ladies, keep working for that League title!
