Congratulations to the boys and girls cross country teams for some stellar performances in their debut race at the Algonac Muskrat Classic. The team finished 5th out of 12 teams with six medalists. Leading the way was Noah Verlinde, with Austin Cornish, Brennen Steinbauer, Marcello Annoni, Jonny Mabbitt and Josh Mantey also winning medals. Nick Arnold, Ben King, Brandon Westfall and Ethan Vanlerberghe also nice performances.
On the girls side, the team shocked many rivals by winning the runner's up trophy, with Alaina Carroll winning the entire varsity race beating 76 other runners. The team won a slew of medals including Tori Mabbit, Reilly Chodnicki, Julia Klinkman, Leah Couch, and Marz Bell. Congrats ladies! The team has their first BWAC competition on Tuesday.
