The Armada boys’ varsity tennis team finished their season on Thursday with a 4th place finish in the 8-team MHSAA D-4 Tennis Regional. Matthew Offner, 1stsingles; George Ferrari, 2nd singles; Braeden Germundson, 3rd singles; and Zach Schember, 4th singles all won their 1st round matches as did Armada’s 1st doubles teams of Anthony Offner and Jadon Hill, and their 3rd doubles team of Josh Prall-Stankewitz and Josh Clarin.
George Ferrari then won a 2nd place medal by making it to the finals of 2nd singles.
Overall as a team this season, Armada finished with a winning record in dual matches, won a quad tournament and finished 2nd in the BWAC.
Individually, ten of their 12 starters finished with winning records playing competition around the state. Also, this Armada tennis team was privileged to be the first Armada tennis team to play on the 8-new tennis courts build this summer and were considered by this year’s competing schools to be a fantastic facility to play on. It was quite a season!
