Coach Collins and the players have a special thanks for the teachers that attended last night's game representing individual players at the Annual Teacher Appreciation game. The varsity came up short 70-64 to an outstanding Detroit Public Safety Academy team that came into the game having won ten of their last eleven games. The Tigers trailed early but fought back to take a 30-26 lead at the half. The second half stayed close with lead changing numerous times. The Tigers fell in the end. The starting lineup of Jared Couch, Noah Chambers, Drew Davis, Mitch Ruczynski and Adam Job had a combined grade point average of 4.06 thanks to the Armada staff and hard work by the players. The Tigers were lead by Mitch Ruczynski with 17 points, Adam Job with 16 points, and 8 rebounds. Drew Davis had 11 points, Dylan Szafranski 8 points and 5 steals and Jared Couch 8 rebounds. The Tigers travel to Imlay City on Friday were the boys and girls teams will participate in the Imlay City war veterans game. Girls at 6:00 and boys at 7:30.
