YALE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 25
The Armada Girls JV Basketball team won at Yale Friday evening, 37-25, in what would be best described as a true team victory. The ladies used a fast start, jumping out to a 9-0 lead, to put the Bulldogs on their heels and then stayed in control much of the first half before going into halftime with a 17-8 lead.
Yale battled back, cutting the lead to 5 points in the third quarter, before the Tigers used a strong fourth quarter, sinking 6 of 8 attempts from the charity stripe to put the game away.
A balanced scoring attack was lead by Ella Sutton who dropped in 9 points, Ava Peterson and Brooklyn Pratt added 8 points a piece, and Sam Berlinger contributed 6 points.
The ladies continue their road tour through the BWAC schedule in a Wednesday night match up with the Pioneers at Croswell Lexington.
