The Armada Varsity Girls Basketball Team defeated Yale tonight behind a strong defensive performance and 2 clutch free throws by Ashlyn Upton with 3.8 seconds left in the game to give the Tigers a 40-38 victory. Sydney Upton lead the team in scoring with 10 points followed by Meya Drob with 8. Brooklyn Pratt and Ava Baltierra each had 6, Ella Sutton and Ashlyn Upton each had 4 and Darrah Mackenzie 2 to round out the scoring. The win improves the Team's record to 9-4 overall and 5-2 in the BWAC. The Team travels to Anchor Bay on Monday for a non-league game before heading to Cos-Lex on Thursday for an important BWAC matchup.
