The cross country teams competed at the Macomb County Championship on Saturday. Running an all-time best, Brooklyn Khon finished 14th out of 143 runners, earning 2nd-team all-county honors. She was joined by Darrah Mackenzie, who also ran an all-time record, Ava Baltierra, Samantha Kook, Ava Zobay, Bree Feys, and Ashlyn Upton, as the girls finished 2nd in the small-school division and 8th overall, their best placement in years. The boys won their 10th small-school championship in a row, finishing 7th overall. Camden Khon came in 5th out of 157 runners, earning first-team all-county honors. He was joined on the podium by Riley Andrews, who ran a personal best in claiming the 18th spot, good for 3rd-team all-county. Luke Nawrocki, Jack Zagaiski, Drew Sniesak, Tyler Buckland, and Austin Malburg, who ran an all-time best, rounded out the varsity positions. Congratulations to both teams on a job well done. The teams return to action tomorrow at the BWAC Championship Race being held at North Branch.
